Registered items

A registered item is a product sold with a serial number and an owner on record: a bike, an e-bike, a frame. Registering it puts the item on the customer’s record as a service item, starts any included-service window, and links every future work order to it.

Set it up

In Settings → General → Registered items, list the Product types that should be registered (for example Bikes and E-Bikes) and, if you include free service with a purchase, the number of Included service days. Work orders for that item show a Free service — N days left chip while it applies.

Register at the register

When a product of a registered type is in the Shopify POS cart, the Register Item tile shows how many items need serial numbers. Tap it to attach the customer and enter the serials. Serials are saved on the order as a line property. Anything missed shows on the post-purchase screen with Register now.

Registration never blocks a sale.
