General settings
Settings is on the dashboard. The General tab holds shop-wide settings that apply to every device and location. Everyone can see them; only admins can change them.
Labor Product Type
Section titled “Labor Product Type”The Shopify product type that means “labor” in your store. It decides what appears on the Labor tab of a work order and on Inventory → Labor. It is case-sensitive.
Work order products
Section titled “Work order products”- Frequently used products: the Shopify collection the product picker opens on when adding to a work order.
- Collections to browse: limit the picker to these collections. Leave empty to browse all of them.
Work order placeholders
Section titled “Work order placeholders”Custom lines your shop uses when the exact part or price isn’t known yet, offered as chips when adding a line. Each has a name, a default price, and whether it Starts as a special order.
Registered items
Section titled “Registered items”The product types that should be registered with a serial number at the till, and the Included service days that come with them. See Registered items.
Sales Tax
Section titled “Sales Tax”The Tax Rate (%) used for the estimated total on work orders and the drop-off receipt. It’s only an estimate; the real tax is calculated by Shopify POS at checkout.
Work Order and Purchase Order Numbering
Section titled “Work Order and Purchase Order Numbering”The number format and the last number used. The defaults are WO-{SEQ:06} and PO-{SEQ:06}, giving WO-000001. Available tokens: {SEQ}, {SEQ:0N} for a zero-padded sequence, {YYYY}, {YY}, {MM}, and {DD}.
Catalog
Section titled “Catalog”Shows whether the supplier catalog is set up for your shop. Run backfill links products already in your Shopify store to the catalog by barcode and part number. Catalog pricing → Ask for a price on every import makes every catalog import ask for a retail price instead of using MSRP.
Auto-Lock
Section titled “Auto-Lock”How long a device can sit idle before returning to the PIN screen, and whether it locks when the app goes to the background. See Devices and PIN lock.
Language
Section titled “Language”Not in Settings: the globe icon in the top bar switches between English and Español, per device.
